In my early sewing days, I taped the videos and still have the collection (and a VCR which plays them). I did not have the opportunity to read her first book, but I have been inspired by her work, her sewing and embroidery, and her perseverance through the years. I also have Seams Unlikely. I took one of her classes and she was just as charming in person as she was on TV. I would love to read her story. Viewers purchased products Nancy used I cried and told my pool mates that I felt my best friend was gone. I admired her in so many ways. I just learned of nancy,s passing and I am heartbroken.

As a Mom who has seen her youngest daughter enter Heavens gates due to a devastatingly catastrophic medical event at age 29, I understand how Faith plays a great part in living life after such a loss. I would be honored to win the book. She was a very impressive woman and the book will help motivate you to find your niche in life, work hard, and follow your dreams. I met her at the Sewing Expo in Puyallup, and was amazed at her beauty, kindness, and willingness to talk with people between classes in the hectic atmosphere of the event. She was incredible. Thank you for sharing more of her life and faith with us. I loved her charity segments, and they have provided me numerous outlets for my creativity. Nancy left us on November 14, 2017, and almost immediately people began requesting the story of the final years of her life. You had on a pretty pink blouse. That blew me away! That began my strong admiration of her, and it lives on.

You are amazing that you were able to write this book as I dont think I could to this day and it has been 10 years. I read her book, and want to read Richards also.

Nancy was an inspiration to all of us whether we sew, quilt, embroider or have other creative outlets. Received a copy of Seams Unlikely when it first came out for my birthday (it came in the mail on my birthday! We were blessed to have had a road trip to the store in Beaver Dam. She will be missed. I miss her coming into my home and sharing her expertise. What a lady & yes, Ive shed some tears over her passing way too soon! I wish I had been luck enough to meet her, but I still feel like she was my friend because I spent so much time with her programs! I have watched Sewing with Nancy for years, she was inspirational, even thought I have sewn for about 60 years, I could always learn something new, weather it was an easier way to a certain thing or just something new altogether. I have her Seams Unlikely, made me feel closer to her and your family. Thank you Richard Zieman for giving us the rest of her story. Here family was fortunate in that she had such strong faith that helped everyone accept her diagnosis. She was truly one if a kind.

However, upon reading Seams Unlikely, I felt an even closer connection to Nancy. She was a great sewist and her sewing skills which she left us in her books and DVDs and shows which we still can view will continue to inspire sewing enthusiasts for a very long time. She is surely missed by millions of people, me included. Like many others, I have read her book Seams Unlikely. Have followed Nancy for years and learned so much from her. Her interviews at the end of the show showed what a positive person Nancy was. What a special gift she shared with us. Hello, Much love to you and your family. Im looking forward to reading both books. She inspired me to go beyond what I knew and to try the unknown. Im just about finished her first book. The few times I would try my work was not viewed positively.

Sewing has always been my place of comfort, and her ideas, creativity, and just being the person she was have been an inspiration to me, especially after reading her book Seams Unlikely.

RIP Nancy. I have learned different tips from Nancy and apply them in my sewing. I have enjoyed watching how Nancy put things together and made it work out like it was made for that purpose. This is one book that I really want to read. I began quilting a few years ago and made quilts for all of my grandchildren. I have learned so much from her over the years. Nancy has been, and continues to be, an inspiration to me for not only her sewing, but her commitment to faith and family. I still use that philosophy with sewing or almost any task I tackle today. I have not read her autobiography but through much of the blog, especially with her passing I see what a woman of faith reflects in her life.

I especially loved reading about her time at Stout as I was also a student there at the same time, and we were even in a class together! Although I never met her here on earth, I pray I do in heaven. Her sense of humor really made me smile!

Her ability to reach and teach was admirable. Her programs, with ideas and methods to make them, was a mecca for me during the busy days of raising 3 boistrous boys and a sweet little girl who followed in their tracks always. Have been out of town so getting to my emails late. When I got back into sewing years ago I found Nancy & Nancys Notions and purchased many books, tools and embroidery design there. Nancy was a child of God who blessed many in numerous ways. She was the kind of lady I would have loved to have as a neighbor! I am pushing 73 years YOUNG & I have been watching Nancy on PBS in Virginia Beach VA. Now that I have a computer I can watch more shows on my time as they never have them on enough for me.

Nancys shows were the best but it was her sweet nature that I loved. Their favourite one was a show that had a birthday party theme for sewing ideas.

She faced physical challenges most of us wont have to face, yet with her Godly faith and good family-ethics upbringing, she did not use her physical setbacks to keep her from moving forward and reaching toward goals.

Her honesty was amazing, her strength phenomenal. She is missed! When I heard of Nancy passing, I felt I had lost a great friend. If I miss her as much as I do and was not a personal friend, I can only imagine the impact of her life on those close to her. I never missed her show. Ive learned so much & have been so inspired by watching her show! My favorite is 10, 20, 30 Minutes to Sew. She rekindled my love for sewing and I learned a great deal from her. Her family is planning a private funeral. She gave me insight and something to look forward to. Miss her! I miss her greatly. I was lucky enough to meet Nancy if only for a few minutes years ago. I watched Sewing With Nancy from the beginning, and enjoyed every episode. Sewing with Nancy is the highlight of my week. She instilled confidence to boldly go forward and not fear a project, whatever it might be. I would love to read the latest book on her life. I certainly would like to read Nancys story, because I certainly cared so much about this great teacher. That too will become a part of my collection.

Nancy was an encouraging person and truly lived the as you are going of scripture. Nancy has been part of my life for many, many years from her shows on TV, books, Sewing Weekend in Beaver Dam, Quilt Expo in Madison, and the internet. I have her Seams Unlikely book and shed a few tears while reading it. If my memory serves me correctly, I also attended a class that she taught at that venue. I have always enjoyed Nancys sewing shows and notions. I have a library of many of her books n information. I watched many PBS Sewing with Nancy shows. She was such a woman of faith and love. We are thinking of the loss her family has as we miss her, too, especially at Quilt Expo in Madison, WI. I collected some of her books. I loved how she didnt let her disability hold her back from being a public figure. She had such a positive influence in my life and I am forever grateful to her.
